The names of the events of the 2008 National Junior Triathlon Series were announced by Triathlon Canada today.
"The Junior Race series is a development program leading to elite Jr’s. It also has a development piece below that for talent id to assist an athlete in determining if they should stream to Active for Life or Elite." says Triathlon Canada Vice President, Larry McMahon. Members of Triathlon Canada's coaching team recommended a list of events to be included in the 2008 series.
Two of the events included in the series will be important for athletes wishing to be carded under the Quest for Gold Athlete Assistance Programme.
