SUMMARY:Team Atomica- OSG Youth Prep Camp - Parry Sound
DESCRIPTION:Athletes attending the Ontario Summer Games are beginning their journey into the competitive draft legal stream. This stream requires developing specific skill sets that will build the foundation for success in the sport of triathlon at higher levels. The Ontario Summer Games Prep Camp Camp will leverage Triathlon Ontario’s Athlete Development Matrix and provide athletes with the opportunity to receive feedback while developing these skills and implementing them in a race environment. \nThe camp will also provides a fun and safe environment where athletes can meet peers across the province and expand their knowledge of the sport while working with international-level coaching \nHome base will be located in the community of McDougall\, 10 minutes north of Parry Sound\, which offers a unique setting for triathlon training. Open water access to Georgian Bay is available at Nobel Beach; Cycling is available on a quiet road with bike lanes and undulating terrain (Nobel Rd); and the McDougall Recreation Centre offers access to quiet residential roads for running and a parking lot to practice bike skills and transitions. \nAthletes will receive top-tier training(see schedule below) by award-winning and youth competition experts: \nLucien Peron\nOntario’s 2025 Provincial Coach of the Year\nHead Coach of the 2025 Youth Provincial Champions\nGreg Kealey\nProvincial Development Coach since 2017\nOne of Canada’s most experienced coaches whose athletes have participated at the Olympics\, Common Wealth Games\, Pan Am Games and World Championships\nBrenda Walker\nCertified Competition Coach
