SUMMARY:Training Day - April 12
DESCRIPTION:Triathlon Ontario’s Provincial Development Program is hosting a Provincial Training Day on April 12th at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. This training opportunity is open to all draft legal pathway athletes aged 13-25. Training days provide opportunities for athletes across the province to work with top Ontario coaches and professionals within our network. \n\nLocation: Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre\nTime – 11:30am to 4pm\n\nSchedule:\n\n\nSwim session 11:30am to 1:00pm Race simulation and stroke analysis. Stroke efficency under race pace conditions\, the swim session will consist of race simulation sets with a focus on maintaining proper timing (hip rotation\, breathing patterns) and stroke efficency.\n\nTrack session 1:30pm – 2:30pm – Single leg stability under pressure\, foot work drills\, and timed runs. A focus on introducing single leg stability drills at an advanced pace and foot work drills to enhance power transfer and reduce energy loss. The session will finish with 3min VO2 max effort runs on the 200m track\n\n\nCSIO Seminar 2:30 pm – 3:30pm – CSIO Mental Performance Coach Fiona Meikle will continue her program on Mental performance techniques and practices.\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease contact Provincial Development Coach Greg Kealey at coach@triathlonontario.com for any questions.\n\n\n\nREGISTER
