SUMMARY:NCCP Prevention & Recovery of Injury
DESCRIPTION:Triathlon Ontario is hosting the NCCP multisport module Prevention & Recovery of Injury March 7 in Milton.  Multisport modules are common to many sports and coaches from all sports are welcome to attend. Though open to all\, this course is one of those in the new Triathlon Competition Coaching Pathway. As such\, it’s particularly suited for those coaches looking to coach development and competition athletes\, and those coaches working toward NCCP Competition certification. \nNCCP Prevention & Recovery of Injury Details \nCourse Registration: https://ccnbikes.com/#!/events/9195-nccp-prevention-recovery-of-injury \nDate: March 7\, 8:00am – 4:00pm \nLocation: Milton Superstore\, 820 Main St. Milton\, ON.\nLocation note: This course takes place upstairs in the Community Room (Cooking Classroom) at the Milton Superstore\, 820 Main St. Milton\, ON. \nCourse Length: 8 hrs \nPD Points: 5 \nCost: $105 \nAfter taking NCCP Prevention and Recovery you will have the knowledge needed to: \n\nIdentify common injuries in your sport and develop appropriate prevention and recovery strategies to keep your athletes injury-free during training and competition;\nOffer valuable information and guidance on hydration\, nutrition and sleep as they relate to injury prevention;\nChoose skills and drills that help athletes perform appropriate warm-ups and cool-downs;\nDevelop functional evaluations for an athlete’s return to play;\nImplement recovery and regeneration techniques to help an athlete maintain or return to optimal performance post injury.\n\n  \nYour Facilitator: Joe Benedetti \nJoe has coached and umpired fast-pitch softball since the mid-1970’s. \nHe has been a Coaching Association of Canada Course Conductor and Learning Facilitator since the 1980’s and currently facilitates 11 NCCP coaching modules. Joe was one of the founding 14 Master Course Conductors for Softball Canada in the 1990’s. He is also a two-time former chair of the Softball Ontario Coaching Committee. \nHe remains a devout life-long learner and believes deeply in the potential value of sport and our collective responsibility to share our knowledge and experience with our athletes and our fellow coaches. \n  \n \n  \n
