SUMMARY:NCCP Youth Triathlon Coach Course - Thunder Bay
DESCRIPTION:Triathlon Ontario Is hosting this NCCP Youth Triathlon Coach course in Thunder Bay\, Ontario\, on October 3-4\, 2026. \nThis course is delivered in a two-day\, in-person format\, with coaches learning to coach kids and youth in triathlon\, then delivering practices using the skills learned – first to fellow coaches\, then to youth athletes. \nThe course covers the modules Coaching Beginner and Age-Group Triathletes\, Coaching and Assessing Triathlon Skills\, and Coaching to Events\, in a youth context. \nThis course is open to all Triathlon Ontario members. Non-members may join Triathlon Ontario during registration. \nWe also welcome out-of-province coaches who are members of their home triathlon organization. \n\nSaturday October 3 and Sunday October 4\, 2026\n9:00am – 5:00pm \n\n\nCanada Games Complex\n420 Winnipeg Ave\,\nThunder Bay\, ON P7B 6B7 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n \nNCCP Community Triathlon Coach is the starting point for triathlon coaches\, and completion is the primary requirement to run a club\, workout\, clinic\, or camp sanctioned by Triathlon Ontario. \nThere are two contexts: Adult and Youth. While each community coach course focuses on coaching either adults or youth\, both cover the essentials of safety\, ethics\, and responsible coaching\, so coaches qualified in either context may coach both adults and youth. \nThe Youth Triathlon Coaching Pathway has recently been updated\, so this is an updated course featuring new material and an updated pathway. \nThough open to all Triathlon Ontario members\, this course is one of those in the Triathlon Community Coaching Pathway. As such\, it’s particularly suited for those coaches looking to coach kids and youth. There is now a separate pathway for coaches working toward NCCP Community Youth Coach certification. \nThe outcomes of the NCCP Community Triathlon Coach program are: \n\nMake Ethical Decisions\nProvide Support to Athletes in Training\nPlan a Practice\nAnalyze Performance\nSupport the Competitive Experience\nDesign a Sport Program\n\n\n\n\nCourse Details\nSaturday October 3 and Sunday October 4\, 2026\n9:00am – 5:00pm \n\n\nCanada Games Complex\n420 Winnipeg Ave\,\nThunder Bay\, ON P7B 6B7 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFormat: Live\, in-person. Coaches will need to bring triathlon equipment and participate in light physical activity.\n\nCourses may move a short distance by vehicle to a nearby pool venue\, due to possible construction. If this happens\, assistance will be provided for coaches who do not have a vehicle present. \nMembership: 2026 Triathlon Ontario Membership\, or home provincial membership\, is required to register for this course. SUMMARY:Ironman 70.3 Muskoka
DESCRIPTION:  \nSOLD OUT\n  \nOntario’s only IRONMAN 70.3\, this race takes place in a region adjacent to the majestic Great Lakes—a pristine forest getaway in Canada’s cottage country. \nOnce again\, the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka will be at the gorgeous Canada Summit Centre in Historic Downtown Huntsville. The beautiful Canada Summit Centre was renovated and expanded for the 2010 G8 Summit. \nThe course features a 1.2-mile\, one-loop swim in the scenic Fairy Lake. The swim start is just 500m from the transition zone. The 56-mile bike course circles Lake of Bays\, passing through the small communities of Dwight\, Dorset\, and Baysville. The 13.1-mile run will take you through Historic Downtown Huntsville and finishing at the gorgeous Canada Summit Centre. \n  \n  \n
