DESCRIPTION:Triathlon Ontario is hosting an NCCP Adult Community Triathlon Coach Part 1 & 2 course in Guelph\, Ontario. \nThis course is delivered in a two-day\, in-person format\, with coaches learning the basics of triathlon coaching\, then delivering practices to their fellow coaches using the skills learned. \nThe course covers the modules Coaching Beginner and Age-Group Triathletes\, Coaching and Assessing Triathlon Skills\, and Coaching to Events\, in an adult context. SUMMARY:Sport Nutrition Fundamentals with Debora Sloan
DESCRIPTION:As part of Triathlon Ontario’s Provincial Development Program a series of free online seminars is being offered to all of the province’s developmental athletes and coaches.  The first set of four seminars will cover a variety of nutrition and mental performance topics hosted by experts in their respective fields. Each seminar will run for about 45-60 min\, including a Q & A session. \nSeminar 1: \nFuel for Performance: Sport Nutrition Fundamentals \nThis 1 hour seminar is stacked with education and will serve as your introduction to sport nutrition. We will introduce you to the goals of nutrition for sport\, with a focus on the fundamentals of athlete fueling for performance and recovery. Learn about macro and micro nutrients and where to find them\, energy pathways related to exercise science and nutrition\, planning the athlete’s balanced plate\, and nutrient timing principles.
