Roger Hospedales

COMPANY NAME
PR Endurance Training

TYPE
Triathlon, Duathlon, Swim, Bike and Run

QUALIFICATIONS

Ironman Certified Coach, NCCP Triathlon & Cycling Coach

You might know Roger as the News Editor of Triathlon Magazine Canada, a writer and live reporter for Ironman.com, or as the MultiSport Canada newsletter and post-race report editor. But at the core Roger is a coach.

Roger started his coaching career at the age of 16 teaching tennis, and has coached National Champions, Provincial Champions, and successful age group competitors in a variety of sports including tennis, badminton, hockey, swimming, cycling, running, and triathlon. He has also worked with International Elite athletes to improve their strength and conditioning.

With 20+ years of triathlon and duathlon racing experience, Roger has done it all, seen it all, tried it all, and made the mistakes that you do not need to repeat. Roger has coached triathletes to personal bests and podium performances, and he is adept to designing programs based on heart rate and/or power.

Despite an arthritic foot and constantly dislocating shoulder, Roger realizes he may not achieve as many podium performances as he used to, but will continue to race simply because he loves the sport and so he can cross the finish line with his daughter. He completed his 24th Ironman at the Ironman World Championship in 2015.
