WC Qualification
In addition to being named host of the Provincial Championships, the event will also serve as a National Qualifier and will have two automatic qualifying spots per age group for each of the two Duathlon distances for the 2016 ITU World Duathon Championships.  The site of the 2016 ITU World Duathlon Championships has yet to be announced.

For those duathletes looking to qualify for World Championships but do not finish in the top two in their age group, there is still a very good chance of claiming an extra spot at a later date.  In order to qualify and claim a subsequent spot you must be a member of Triathlon Ontario in the year of qualification and year of competition and race in a qualifying event such as MSC’s Bracebridge event.
