Triathlon Ontario Launches New Junior and Elite/U23 Draft Legal Series

– Juniors to battle for new Junior Cup and Elite/U23s set their sights on $2,000 purse –

February 27, 2015Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, announced the unveiling of two new series, the Ontario Junior Cup and the Ontario Elite/U23 Cup.

For those Juniors aged 16-19 and who are draft legal certified and Triathlon Ontario members, the Cup Series will consist of three races, with the best two point totals counting towards a final total.

For anyone aged 20 or older, have draft legal certification, official Elite status and are Triathlon Ontario members, the Elite/U23 Cup will consist of two races, with both races counting towards a final point total. The prize money will be determined based on the final point total from both races. The first place winner (male and female) will win $500, second place will take home $300 and third place will receive $200. The Draft Legal Provincial Championships will be worth additional points in each Series.
