August 17, 2015 Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, announced today that it will be moving its head office from Toronto to the Milton Velodrome in mid-September.
In partnership with the Town of Milton and the Ontario Cycling Association (OCA), Triathlon Ontario will be subleasing office space from the OCA. A specific moving date has yet to be selected but it is anticipated that it will be in mid-September and while the office’s address and phone numbers will change, no disruption of services to its members is expected.

After the bankruptcy of the Sport Alliance Ontario in early April, providers of Triathlon Ontario’s current office lease and other critical operational services, the organization conducted a full financial and strategic review and selected various options for its future home. The Milton Velodrome offered a unique opportunity to be located in a world class cycling facility with another like-minded Provincial Governing Body. A number of financial and strategic synergies are expected to be realized resulting in Triathlon Ontario reducing administration expenses significantly, which means more membership funds being reinvested back into the development and growth of the sport across the province.

Milton is in the heart of the Oakville-Burlington-Milton-Guelph corridor which is home to one of the highest concentration of sanctioned races and sanctioned adult and youth clubs in the province. Milton also boasts a number of fantastic triathlon related facilities such as the Velodrome, Milton Sports Centre, Kelso Conservation Area, to name a few. It is also within a 30 minute drive of the National Training Centre in Guelph. In addition to the OCA, the Velodrome is home to the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, a high performance funding partner to both Triathlon Ontario and Triathlon Canada.
