Two Day Draft Clinic and Certification Available for Youths/Juniors

April 5, 2016Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, announced it will be running a two day drafting certification course targeted for youth and juniors (12-19) on May 13/14, 2016. The course will consist of two days of skill development, followed by a certification test at the end of day two and will be located at the Milton GO Station parking lot.

This course is essential for any athlete interested in racing in any draft legal races including the Youth and Junior Cups, Ontario Summer Games or any National Youth/Junior event as well as Triathlon Ontario’s signature event, the Draft Legal Provincial Championships.

Registration

The cost of the course is $60 and includes complementary Infinit Nutrition Jet Fuel as well as a Triathlon Ontario water bottle. Participants must attend both days if they want to take the draft certification test.

For those that cannot attend this weekend and want to get draft certified, LPC Triathlon Club will be hosting a draft legal certification course in Guelph on May 28, 2016. Details can be found here.

Age Group Drafting Clinics

For those Age Groupers that are interested in developing their drafting skills or planning to participate in World Championships, Nationals or Triathlon Ontario’s Draft Legal Provincial Championships, there are drafting clinic opportunities in Ottawa and Toronto.

The Bytown Storm, of Ottawa, will be hosting two drafting clinics. Session 1 will take place on May 1st and Session 2 will take place on May 15th.

The Toronto Triathlon Club, in partnership with NRG Performance Training, is running a Novice and Intermediate “Learn to Draft” clinic on Sunday May 15th.
