Launched originally as the Kempenfelt Triathlon Club (KTC) in 2006, the Barrie Baydogs Triathlon Club is now 130+ members strong.
Barrie Triathlon Club Mission Statement
Incorporated in 2010, the Barrie Baydogs Triathlon Club is a non-profit, member-run organization with a mission to develop a community of multi-sport athletes from recreational to elite, and to become Canada’s premier triathlon club.
The Baydogs are not just a triathlon club; the club seeks to develop a community of athletes in a variety of different sports for a common purpose to:
- Achieve personal athletic goals;
- Encourage individual growth and performance in the sport;
- Participate in organized group training sessions;
- Socialize in a fun and congenial environment
The Barrie Baydogs Triathlon Club is located in the best possible area for triathletes. With its beautiful freshwater swimming in Kempenfelt Bay, well paved rural roads minutes from Barrie’s urban areas, and well-maintained paths, city streets, and trails for your running needs, you will have every training opportunity at your doorstep!. We are also within 1.5 hours to the Ironman Muskoka 70.3 course, and a short drive to most race sites of both the Multisport & Subaru Triathlon Series.
