Triathlon Ontario Indoor Provincial Championships Report

– Sturrock and Jamnicky crowned champions –

March 6, 2015Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, held its Indoor Provincial Championship yesterday at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. Congratulations to Haley Sturrock and Jacob Jamnicky for winning the overall Provincial titles. Full results can be found here.

The format of the event was simple, swim for 15 minutes, bike for 15 minutes and run for 15 minutes and score points for the distances achieved. All three disciplines taking place indoors in a pool, on a stationary bike and running track.

Prizes were awarded to the male and female winners of the various age group and the title of Provincial Champion was awarded to the top Triathlon Ontario member.

Top male and female swimmers on the day were Jacob Jamnicky (1,200m), Elise Bolger (1,225m). Top bikers were Darrin Amell (14.5km) and Haley Sturrock (13km). Top runners were Jamnicky and Mathieu Gauthier (both 4.1km) and Jasmin Aggarwal (3.7km). Overall points winner, regardless of Triathlon Ontario membership, went to Daniel Koerber (1,592.5 points) and Haley Sturrock (1,505 points).
