ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Triathlon Ontario’s signature event, the 2024 Provincial Championships is back on August 31.

The all draft-legal race lineup offers all the usual Cup Series races, Mixed Team Relay Club Championships, Age Group Super Sprint and a new AGe Group World Championship Qualifier in a new Mixed Team Relay for teams in 10 year age groups.

The all draft legal races include:

U15 – 1x Super sprint

Junior – 2x Super sprint with times added to decide winner

Elite/U23 – 2x Super sprint with times added to decide winner

Age Group Super Sprint – 1x

Age Group Mixed Team Relay World Qualifier

Mixed Team Relay Open Category – open to all, mix and match clubs & provinces as long as everyone is in the same 10 year age group.

Mixed Team Relay Club Championships – all athletes on team from the same club,

 

 

The events take place at International Flatwater Centre in Welland.

MTR Registration fees are $200 per team ($50 per person).

All participants must be Triathlon Ontario members (or members of their home province’s triathlon association if not an Ontario resident) at the time of the race. (Except MTR Club Championships – all athletes must be Triathlon Ontario members.)

There are no time trial/tri bikes allowed, only road bikes. Age Group drafting rules are in effect for the Super Sprint and MTR races.
