Triathlon Ontario Announces Canada Summer Games Team

June 26, 2017Triathlon Ontario, the recognized Provincial Governing Body of Multisport in Ontario, announced its team and alternate selections to represent Ontario at this year’s Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg July 28-August 6th.   The Canada Summer Games consist of five races for junior athletes (16-19), an individual male and female sprint race, a four-person mixed relay (recently added to the Olympics) and a female and male relay – relays are super sprint distances.

Triathlon Ontario’s Selection Committee primary objective was to built a team that could compete for as many podiums as possible based on its talent pool versus the other provinces. The Selection Committee used a combination of testing and performance results to determine which athletes could best position Ontario to succeed in its strategic objectives.
